After living here for a year and a half, I’ve learned that South Carolina weather is unpredictable. Cassidy & Brady’s engagement session was exactly that - unpredictable and amazing and I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about.
The chance for rain on the day of their engagement session was ever changing. We toiled around with the idea of postponing, but Cassidy & Brady were both so down to brave the rain. We took the drive out to Terra Vane Acres in Grey Court, South Carolina and took our chances.
Terra Vane Acres is owned and operated by Jeannie and her husband. They rent out their gorgeous property for all sorts of photography sessions, and Jeannie is the most incredible host! This is my second session on her farm, and I look forward to many.
The drive provided conflicting views of ever darkening skies paired with a bright, burning sun. My fingers remained crossed, and my spirits high. Shortly after arriving, we made our way to the back of the property with the owner of the farm, Jeannie. She was kind enough to drive us all in her truck, just in case we fell victim to a downpour.
Raindrops began after nearly 30 seconds of shooting, so we embraced the rain for as long as we could and then ran to Jeannie’s truck. Cassidy and Brady were so amazing the entire time, fully embracing and enjoying every moment, and the photos of running to the truck will make for some unforgettable memories, so thank you cloud gods for giving us rain!
We lucked out for the rest of the session, and had a fabulous time walking around Jeannie’s growing sunflower patch, swinging on hammocks, and hanging out under a beautiful willow tree.
Cassidy & Brady, I’m honored to be your wedding photographer and I am counting down the days until your dreamy June wedding! And Jeannie, thank you as always for being such a wonderful host!
